​Welcome to the GHL - Hockey for Beginners!  A league that caters to adults (female and male!) who are truly terrible hockey players. The worse you are, the more suited you are to our league. We cut the best players,  as there are many other leagues that cater to those that grew up getting up at 5 am for hockey practices.

As a league we pride ourselves on being focused on hockey for the fun of it, and the great social connection with our teammates. 

We are a no contact league, because we all need to get up and work tomorrow.  And we don't really relish the thought of being smashed up against the board when we are really just trying to not fall.

We are a friendly group that has a lot of fun on the ice and off the ice.  Many long time friendships have come out of this group of people and it is great to share the love of the game together.  

​We play in the Fall/Winter on Saturday nights and in the Spring/Summer on Wednesday nights at the Mohawk 4 Ice Centre on the East mountain in Hamilton.  Games are usually scheduled between 8:45 & 11:15 in the Winter season and 6:45 & 11:00pm in the summer.

We would love to have you join us - whether you have skatted before or not - we will help build your skills and ensure you have fun along the way.

We have great looking Jerseys and great group of refs and leadership who work hard to make sure the experience is great for everyone.
